In the distant future, the general population have become too complacent and preoccupied with their advanced technology and absurd entertainment to take action against a government run rampant.
People have been experiencing uncanny memories and thoughts of the future. Several major terrorist attacks have placed the world on edge, causing some to question their nation’s condition. And after a bizarre disappearing incident at a political event, a government agent and an underground hacker discover a secret the nation state and its private sector contractors have been hiding for decades. Making use of their unconventional resources to traverse the corrupt and violent city environment they try to uncover the cause of these mysterious incidents. With the help of a few covert resistance groups, they must trace the steps leading back to the origin of these outlandish events before they succumb to the system of things.
Where a majority of the world’s countries have merged to form one larger nation, the atmosphere is dark and gritty, the stress is high. The wealthy have taken the best land for themselves, leaving others stuck in areas where land square footage is too small to maintain the population comfortably. Mass public transportation is prevalent, self-driving cars are the norm for people that can afford them. The middle-class has all but disappeared.
Will they be able to handle the threat of secret technology created to manipulate and influence unknown dimensions?
After his father had left at age seven, Bryce became the head of the household and took on more responsibilities any kid should ever have to.
His father never showed many emotions, and when he left, his mother didn’t either. And now, neither does Bryce.
He’s a quite egotistical, extroverted, obsessive and passive aggressive, but somehow he decided to study sociology. After graduating, he started working in the loss prevention department of an insurance company before moving on to become a background investigator at the Transport Security Administration Agency.
He moved up to law enforcement position, which in the TSA is a glorified security guard. After an incident that left him injured, he took a less hazardous position. There, he came into contact with FoxStone a.k.a Sasha. The two secretly work on more unorthodox tasks that are not so favorable with government officials.
Recently he moved up to policy enforcement, a role he likes as it doesn’t take him much effort.
Sasha’s father immigrated to the United States where he met her mother. He went into politics and was quickly corrupted, to the disgust of Sasha. Her mother was an elementary school teacher.
She’s quite introverted but always had amazing grades throughout school. At least, till she dropped out to start an intelligence and data mining company with a peer.
The company became an overnight success and drew the attention of government agencies wanting to work with them. After seeing her father’s demise to power the idea of working with the government disgusted Sasha, but her partner embraced the idea leading to the eventual split.
Her co-founder started DefTel, a large private defense company. Sasha became a teacher by day, and a hacker by night. She helps people fight against tyranny and injustice.
